"The Journey Back"

Back in 2004, I graduated from CCS thinking to myself this will be the last time here on campus. Now more than ever, I really believe our Lord has a sense of humor.  My roots are deep here at Cornerstone Christian. I was part of the first class enrolled back when the school opened in 1993. While at CCS, I was a 2 -time state champion in football, a member of the praise band and was voted Mr. CCS by my classmates.

In the years after I graduated, I attended UTSA and SAGU where I received my degree in Biblical Studies. I served on staff at Cornerstone Church as Worship Leader for the youth & young adults. I also served as the praise & worship coordinator at Cornerstone. In this role I helped with our choir, taught Sunday school and assisted with leading worship on Sunday nights.

While serving in full time ministry, I met my wife, Diana and we were married in 2013. She is my love, best friend, my compliment, and life partner in ministry. In January 2015, we welcomed our first child, Judah and he has forever changed our lives. He has opened up a whole new part of my heart that I never knew existed and I love being his dad. As a family, we feel called by God to share, teach, train and develop this young generation of believers.

This is my second year and I look forward to taking our worship experiences here at CCS to a whole new level. I've increased expectations on myself.  With more liberties to lead and direct, I am excited to share and impart into our student body. It's my desire for students to understand the importance of cultivating a lifestyle of praise and worship. I have experienced first-hand as a former student of this school, the tremendous value of a solid Biblical education. I am eager to mentor and train students to develop a passion for worshipping our God so that when they leave here, they can say I know what it means to worship "In Spirit and in Truth".
